For those who crave adventure but are short on time, our Algarve Explorer Half Day Tour is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Algarve in just three hours!

We begin with a full guidance and safety briefing to ensure everyone is comfortable and confident on their quad bike before setting off. Once ready, we embark on a thrilling ride through quiet country lanes, winding dirt tracks, and charming villages, soaking in the breathtaking scenery along the way.

Departing from Moinho do Leitão, a traditional windmill, we navigate our way to a small local farm, where we’ll learn about Algarve’s aromatic herbs and spices, taste refreshing homemade tea and honey, and meet some friendly goats.

Continuing the adventure, we ascend into the mountains, riding through picturesque landscapes and local farmlands, before arriving in Alte – one of the most beautiful villages in the Algarve. Here, we take a well-deserved break to enjoy a refreshing cold drink, coffee, or even a delicious ice cream, while soaking in the charm of this remarkable village.
In the summertime, there’s the option to take a refreshing swim in Alte’s freshwater spring pool – a local favourite. In the winter, we visit the nearby waterfall, a stunning natural spot perfect for photos.

After our stop in Alte, we set off towards our final highlight—Paderne Castle, a fascinating 12th-century Moorish fortress steeped in history. As we explore the ruins, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding countryside and a glimpse into the region’s past.

From Paderne Castle, we jump back on the quads for one last exhilarating ride, making our way back to base with memories to last a lifetime.

Whilst there are a couple of stops, there is tonnes of quad biking in between! Some people welcome the break and love to marvel in the remarkable scenery. However, if you have no interest and wish to immerse yourselves in a non-stop, adrenaline fuelled adventure instead, then we will gladly oblige you! Depending on your ability levels, we can take a pace of your choosing.

NOTE: Tour route may change due to weather conditions, group preferences and riding abilities.

This tour allows you to truly immerse yourselves in the quad biking experience, with an action-packed day full of awe and laughter.

If, however, 50-60kms sounds like it might be a bit too much for you – and if you’re travelling with children under 12, or elder family members – then we invite you to check out the Adventure Tracks Quad Biking Tour, for a less-strenuous though by no means diluted adventure.

In any case, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that our 60-75km routes are well-optimized and offer a wealth of distractions and stunning photo opportunities to keep everyone engaged. We will also make a point of stopping regularly to allow you to rest and simply soak in the views.

• Double quad: €145 (to add the 2nd person as a driver, too, there is a 15 Euro surcharge)

Security deposit
A cash deposit of € 200 per quad is required at check-in, paid on the spot before the activity starts, and is refunded at the end of the activity.
The deposit will not be refunded if safety and conduct rules are not followed or the driver causes damage to the vehicle due to negligence or irresponsible driving.

Tour Times – Winter (October- March)

During the winter it gets dark relatively early, so we no longer run tours which finish at 6pm. At this time or year, we start tours at 10am. If you would like to book during these months, please let us know a few possible dates suit you and we will provide you with our schedule.

As the weather can be a little unpredictable, we recommend you book your tour at the beginning of your holiday just in case the weather conditions get too rough and we need to reschedule.
