Algarve Quad Tour 2
On our fantastic 4 hour quad tour we travel approximately 50 miles/70KM and it begins with a full guidance and safety tuition at our base just a 7-minute drive from Albufeira Old Town. Once everyone is relaxed and comfortable our quad bikes head off towards the village of Tunes.
"I was a little nervous as I had not drove a quad before, I had my own quad (you can get a quad to share), however when I got there my mind was put completely at ease by Rory the tour guide. We had 15 min safety lesson beforehand, but after 10 minutes into the tour I was loving it, I felt like a pro!!!!” Sue B"
During this adventure you will pass though some amazing countryside, driving on and off road and travel along forest tracks, rugged trails, and up and down woodland paths. Of course you will see many traditional houses and all our wonderful fruit trees including, oranges, lemons, figs, olives and carobs. Rory will stop many times during the tour to take photos so you have memories to treasure. After about an hour we stop at a typical Portuguese café and will treat you to a cool refreshment.
Once back on our quads we start to head North East in the direction of Alte which has been voted one of the Algarve’s prettiest villages. When we arrive in Alte, we ride through a maze of cobbled streets and you will get to see colorful window frames and cheerful chimney pots…. they are beautiful and so traditional! Once at the top of the town you will get to enjoy yet more spectacular views. Here we turn off the quads´ engines to appreciate the true beauty and peacefulness – unforgettable so have your camera at the ready!
"The views from up the mountain were amazing and I got some brilliant photos. We went through a beautiful old cobbled town and stopped off for coffee along the way. Rory was absolutely amazing, giving us a great guide on where we were, showing us orange, lemon, almond, avocado and pomegranate trees and showed us what life is like out in the real Portugal, away from the touristy areas - definitely worth seeing” Vera & Graham, Enniskillenhe."
Now we drive down to the main attraction of this tour, the natural spring. This is perfect place to park up our quad bikes, grab something to drink and enjoy the true tranquility of this charming Algarve village. It’s simply stunning! For those looking to cool down, many have a paddle in the spring!
"We were then brought to a location up in the mountains called Alte, we were driving through beautiful villages on our way and when we got to the top, I was speechless at the view. We were then brought to another attraction called Alte de Fonte, a fresh water spring, you can even go in for a swim if you want, I was just amazed by this beautiful location I spent my time taking pictures. Claire G"
After our break, our quads start their decent towards Albufeira, crossing amazing off-road terrain that is suitable for all levels of ability.
"Me & my partner booked the 4-hour tour, it was the highlight of our holiday. Claire & Rory offer a unique experience, and genuinely put their heart & soul into their trips. Your made to feel welcome and at ease, as soon as you are picked up. Perfect for all ages/family's. I can't imagine anybody not enjoying this day – Tara Ryan"
